The Tibetan community in Norway joined different immigrant organizations living in the country for ERAS festival in Oslo on Saturday, June 16th.
The annual event was aimed at enhancing better knowledge of and understanding between the ethnic groups and their cultures in Norway.
One of the many highlights during the event was the participation by Tibetans and Chinese troupes in an entertaining parade on the occasion. The Tibetans took the center-stage when they performed traditional Yak and folk dances.
|Lobsang Pelmo Tenzin, leader of the Tibetan community in Norway, said: “Meeting and talking with Chinese groups in such events could be an opportunity for more contact and dialogue in future, which could hopefully lead to better understanding and more interaction in the future.”
